About Mj photography

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blogsite! I am a local photographer starting out in Whatcom County located in Washington state. I have always had a love for photography and I am incredibly happy to be doing something that I absolutely love. I do pregnancy/maternity photography, newborn photography, children, as well as photography of children and families. Although, I really want to specialize in newborn photography. As for me, I have three beautiful children and they are by far my favorite subjects. After I had my first child, my love for photography grew that much more. I was wanting to capture every little moment. My husband often teases me and tells me that we will be able to look back at the pictures and literally see every moment in their childhood. That is just fine with me!! I love taking pictures of a babies tiny little toes, a child's smile that just melts your heart, and the bellies, of course, that got them here. I was fortunate enough to have the honor of being able to photograph a friends maternity pictures and birth of her third child almost four years ago and it was completely amazing!! It combined two of my loves...babies and photography. Photographing newborns holds a special place in my heart {and there is nothing like taking a photo of a newborn that is so fresh and so new to this world.} Since I have three children of my own, I know all too well how quickly that time comes and goes when they are so teeny tiny. I would say that photographing life that was so new was a confirmation that was something I that I wanted to do. I am a creative person at heart and love to be creative in every possible way. I really enjoy capturing a moment that you and your family can treasure forever. I look forward to meeting new people and watching their families grow, expanding my portfolio and expanding my knowledge of photography (as you never stop learning), all doing what I love and loving what I do!
